Dr. Tarlanda V. Dempsey is a Florida Supreme Court Certified Mediator in four
disciplines Family, Dependency, Circuit, and County.  She is a conflict resolution expert with a
passion for transforming high-conflict situations into opportunities for sustainable
resolution. As the founder of Meaningful Mediation, she offers trauma-informed
negotiation services, dignity-centered practices, and client-focused mediation that
fosters productive dialogue and promotes long-term peace.

Dr. Dempsey specializes in resolving complex disputes across family, dependency,
county, and civil matters. With more than 25 years of experience in criminal
investigations and crisis negotiation, she brings a rare blend of real-world insight and
advanced mediation training to every case. Her approach is deeply informed by her
background in trauma response, psychological dynamics, and the legal systems affecting
children and families.

Before launching her mediation practice, Dr. Dempsey served as a Criminal Investigator
and Crisis Negotiator with local law enforcement. There, she developed a
specialty in child and family investigations—experience that laid the foundation for her
transition into private mediation and legal advocacy. In 2013, she founded Prestige
Private Investigation Agency of Florida, where she works as a Defense Private
Investigator and a Capital Defense Mitigation Specialist, further deepening her 
understanding of the emotional and legal complexities that often surround family and
civil conflict.

Dr. Dempsey is also a successful entrepreneur and community leader. As the founder of
The Testing Emporium and Grace and Mercy Community Outreach, she has
demonstrated strong administrative and organizational leadership, while remaining
deeply committed to public service and accessibility in justice.
Her mediation style is collaborative, trauma-aware, and ethically grounded. She tailors
flexible service delivery models to meet the unique needs of each client, with a focus on
preserving relationships, meeting legal requirements, and empowering parties to co-create lasting solutions.

Dr. Dempsey holds a Doctorate in Business Administration from Argosy University Atlanta and is a licensed Private Investigator in multiple states. Her leadership philosophy integrates advanced academic knowledge with lived experience, making her a trusted guide for individuals and families navigating conflict.
